Welcome to the Northern Animal Ecology Lab
Our research group seeks to improve understanding of animal ecology in terrestrial, northern ecosystems through theoretical and applied research. We are motivated to address current problems facing resource management agencies and society. We conduct scientifically-based research to help natural resource agencies, organizations, and the public:
•Understand the biology and ecological roles of wildlife in natural and managed systems,
•Integrate animal ecology information into decision-making processes that support biodiversity conservation and sustainable resource management,
•Train future professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to be effective natural resource managers, conservationists, and scientists.
