Join the lab - prospective students
Trent University is a fantastic place to do your research and our lab provides opportunity to have your work directly support wildlife conservation and gain experience in a collaborative setting with a government agency. You will join an enthusiastic team of students and government staff and actively participate in our team project planning, lab reading-discussions, seminars, and social events.
I am recruiting Undergraduate, M.Sc., and Ph.D. students to join my lab. We welcome individuals who have diverse backgrounds and a passion for learning. Please send me an email if you are interested in discussing opportunities. Students have opportunity to develop their own projects that relate to our interests or to lead components of current research projects. Please provide some background about yourself, any prior research experience, your motivations for pursuing undergraduate or graduate level research, and why our research is of interest to you. Please also send your unofficial transcripts.
All graduate students in the ENLS are guaranteed a minimum level of funding per year for the duration of their program, earned through external scholarships, or a combination of teaching assistant positions and funding from my grants. Please be aware of the relevant deadlines for graduate funding opportunities (eg. OGS and NSERC).
Research opportunities for undergraduate students are available through research courses for credit (BIOL 4020D), paid summer student and work study positions, and undergraduate scholarships.
